Summer Camp Programs

Session Selection

  • Grades 3–6: Choose one morning session.

  • Grades 7–10: May choose one morning and one afternoon session. **Morning sessions for Grades 7–10 are limited

  • Students will explore agriculture and natural resources through hands-on discovery at an introductory level.

  • Little Builders Camp is a hands-on summer experience where students in grades 3–6 step into the world of construction and creativity. Campers will safely learn basic building skills while constructing their very own jewelry box or toolbox to take home and proudly use. It’s the perfect opportunity for young makers to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the trades—all while having fun!

  • Interested in construction trades? Join us to learn the basics of woodworking, power tools, and working with materials in a safe and fun environment. Students will design and build projects while practicing skills like measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling, and will also explore working with epoxy and take home their own epoxy coaster.

 
  • Campers will explore the amazing human body through three fun-filled days of discovery! They’ll learn how major body systems work, practice taking vitals, build healthy habits, and get a glimpse into the world of healthcare.

  • Where future healthcare leaders begin. Ready to step into the world of medicine? Dive deeper into body systems through interactive challenges, create your own wearable designs, practice real vital skills, and discover what it’s like to think and work like a healthcare professional.

 

For Grades 7-10 Only

  • CTE Welding Summer Camp is designed to introduce students to the world of welding. Students will understand the importance of welding, and how welded products are a part of their everyday lives. Students will also gain hands-on experience with basic cutting and welding processes.

 

  • This camp focuses on foundational automotive concepts through classroom-based, interactive activities.

    • Design and customize cardboard cars to explore painting and auto body careers

    • Use sensory trays to simulate vehicle fluids and understand the importance of maintenance

    • Learn about tires and participate in a “Pit Challenge” by changing plastic tires and checking tire pressure

    • Discover the basics of how vehicles operate

  • Students will gain real-world exposure by working with actual vehicles in the lab.

    • Learn what an OBD II scanner is and how to use it

    • Practice checking fluid levels using a dipstick

    • Identify dashboard warning lights and what they mean

    • Diagnose a check engine light on a pre-rigged vehicle

    • Practice communicating with a “customer” to explain repair needs

 
  • Cook, create, and have fun helping prepare favorites like bread, cookies, and pizza while learning kitchen safety and cool chef skills. Campers will assist with demonstrations, explore the science behind food, and practice fun skills like food presentation and table setting.

    • Assist with preparing recipes like bread, cookies, and pizza

  • Students will work as a team to prepare recipes while developing essential culinary skills.

  • Campers will spark their creativity through exciting STEM challenges, colorful art projects using paint and hands-on materials, and interactive games that build teamwork and confidence. Students will explore leadership skills while discovering how creativity and learning go hand in hand.

  • This camp provides students with Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED training while introducing leadership skills used in education and childcare settings. Space is limited to ensure proper certification training.

  • A.M. SESSION: Drop-off is between 9:20 and 9:30 and pickup is no later than noon.

  • Career Exploration Days is an interactive, hands-on experience designed to introduce students to a wide variety of high-demand careers through engaging simulations, team challenges, and real-world problem solving. Campers rotate through dynamic “Career Labs” where they step into roles such as entrepreneur, meteorologist, restaurant manager, engineer, or public safety professional—building communication, leadership, financial literacy, and teamwork skills along the way. Through budgeting challenges, guest speakers, mock interviews, and creative vision board activities, students gain confidence, workplace readiness skills, and a clearer vision for their future pathways.

 
  • Young creators will bring their ideas to life through imaginative, beginner-friendly digital projects. No experience is needed—just creativity and curiosity.

    • Explore storytelling, cinema, and illustration

    • Experiment with chiptune-style music

    • Build creativity and teamwork skills

  • Students will step behind the scenes of broadcasting and digital production while developing technical and creative skills. Campers will explore design, editing, and storytelling in a collaborative environment.

    • Graphic design and photo editing

    • Introduction to animation concepts

    • Team-based digital storytelling projects

 

For Grades 7-10 Only

  • Get ready to build, create, and explore! In this hands-on class, kids will learn the basics of working with tools, machines, and materials in a safe and fun environment. Guided by experienced instructors, young makers will design and build their own projects while learning important skills like measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling. Perfect for curious minds who love to tinker and create!


 

Annual Youth Police Academy

July 20-24, 2026

The City of Clare Police Department is hosting its annual Youth Police Academy from July 20-24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 207 W 5th St, Clare, MI. This program offers hands-on training, demonstrations, and insights into law enforcement, requiring physical participation.
