CTE Hosts Project Red

Nearly 300 fifth graders visited the Magnus Center Campus on Tuesday, September 22, for Clare County Farm Bureau’s Project RED (Rural Education Day), hosted by Clare-Gladwin Career & Technical Education.

Students explored 13 hands-on stations covering everything from livestock, dairy and honey bees to maple syrup, apple cider, wildlife, crops and farm safety. Along the way, they learned how agriculture connects to the food we eat, the products we use and the world around us.

A big thank you to the local producers, organizations and volunteers who shared their knowledge and gave students the opportunity to experience agriculture up close!
