Bridging Creativity: CTE Building Trades Contest - The CTE Construction Trades program celebrated Bridge Month with a Bridge Building Contest. To prepare, students watched educational films, including "Building the Mighty Mac," to learn more about bridge construction. They then worked in teams to design and build their own bridges, competing to see which design could hold the most weight.
The first place team—Preston Willert, Clayton Neuman, and Brayden Randle from Gladwin—built a bridge that held 100.5 lbs. Second place went to Andrew Lewis, Landon Love, and Karter Offenbecker from Clare, with a bridge supporting 91 lbs. #CTEitsWorking #CGRESD #ourstory

This evening, the Clare-Gladwin CTE hosted their bi-annual Advisory Committee meeting at the Magnus Center. These committees provide essential insight into current industry practices and offer guidance on equipment purchases and work-based learning opportunities for each program. A special thank you to the Culinary Arts program for preparing a wonderful dinner, with the support of several CTE student workers who helped ensure the evening’s success. We appreciate all the committee members and CTE staff who attended and contributed to a productive and engaging event! #CTEitsWorking #CGRESD #Advisorycommittee

Hands-on learning in action! Our Clare-Gladwin CTE Education Occupations students are preparing for the FCCLA State Leadership Conference by creating unique projects in the "Toys that Teach" or "Storybook" categories. They've applied their knowledge of child development, carefully following FCCLA guidelines for design, age range, and safety while crafting detailed instructions for each activity.
These projects reflect our commitment to preparing students for the future through real-world learning. #CTEitsWorking #CGRESD #OurStory
